It's up to
you, New York, New York! Time to hit the lights of Broadway
to watch our Caps meet the New
York Rangers?
Here's how you can plan your own trip!

| How do I get
tickets? |
| Holy hockey pucks, Batman!
How in the world can anyone pick up tickets to Ranger games?
Even with the club's poor performance since winning the Cup
in 1994, it's still as hard as ever to get tickets for hockey
in the Garden. Every game's a sellout and tickets go fast! |
- Individual ticket sales- TicketMaster
Online or TicketMaster Phone Charge at 1-212-307-7171
- A limited number of individual
tickets usually go on sale in September of each year
and tend to sell out quickly.
- Group
ticket sales- Call 1-212-465-6080 or email groupsales@thegarden.com.
- Group tickets are available
for groups of 20 or more people.
- View New York Rangers ticket
prices and seating chart.
- Is the game completely sold out?
American Express Gold Card holders receive the benefit of
special reserved seating for Madison Square Garden events.
Purchase tickets unavailable to the public by calling 1-212-307-GOLD
and using your American Express Gold Card. Otherwise, it's
time to scour the net... try starting on eBay
or contact RoadTrips
to inquire about ticket availability! Last resort? Often
tickets held for promotional, marketing and other reasons
are released within a day or two of the event. Try going
back to TicketMaster the week of, day before or day of the
game! Tickets are also almost always available the day of
the game at the box office, though tickets are rarely available
in all price ranges and generally higher priced tickets
are all that remain.

| Where can I stay? |
| Best way to get affordable
accommodations in Manhattan? Priceline
lets you name your price and finds you a good hotel for a good
price. Downsides to Priceline include usually not being able
to make special requests such as a room with two beds and not
knowing how close to MSG you'll be. |

| Where can I eat
and what else is there to do and see? |
| Where to eat? Wow,
options galore in New York City! Firstly, if you are going to
Madison Square Garden, you must stop by the Molly Wee Pub if
you favor an adult beverage or two. An Irish Pub serving the
NYC's finest just a block from the Garden at 8th and 30th. Dinner
suggestions? The ESPNzone is located at Broadway and 44th for
the sports experience. If you're looking for a good yet moderately
priced steak, try Gallagher's Steakhouse on 52nd St. between
Broadway and 8th. Both Rangers and visiting players are known
to frequent the Post House Restaurant on E. 63rd on the night
before a game. If it's an out-of-the-world experience you seek,
try Mars 2112 downstairs at Broadway and 50th. How amazing it
is that after a quick trip to Mars for dinner, the food upon
arrival is so very standard American fare (similar to your Planet
Hollywood/Hard Rock menu)... |
| |
| What to do? You're
in New York City! In addition to the whole Manhattan experience
itself, touristy highlights include the Statue of Liberty, the
Empire State Building, Times Square, Central Park, the United
Nations and the Chrysler Building. Shopping galore, Broadway
shows and some of the finest restaurants in the world. Make
a visit to the Guggenheim or travel out to the Bronx to visit
one of the country's most famous zoos! Some of the links below
give additional tips on what to do and see in NYC! |
| |
| Postgame festivities?
Again, try the Molly Wee Pub! Before or after the game, you
can't beat this classic MSG pre/post-game experience. And don't
forget about Greenwich Village, Soho or the trendy Tribeca areas!
Just want a quiet drink or meal after the game? Try the Friday
across the street or walk the Broadway where you'll find place
after place. |
