Halloween Game - October 30, 2009

There was a great turnout for the game on Friday, October 30. Although the night before Halloween is usually referred to as "Devil's Night" the Caps instead faced the New York Islanders, who won in overtime. The Crew had their table behind section 400 and a grisly crime scene was the tableau. Bloody hockey equipment was strewn about the table but stalwart children of all ages braved the gore to come get their candy!

The entrants in our costume contest were happy to pose for photos. it came down to a tough decision, but the eventual winner deserved the award.
And the winner was . . . DUFFMAN! With his home-made costume, right down to the "Duff" beer can belt, this industrious fan was the grand prize winner. It also helped that he made it Caps related with the felt letters on his cape!

Duffman was a gracious winner, giving his "Best Costume" statue to this adorable caps fan. Kudos to her dad for turning a cute fairy into a hockey-related costume!
